Jillian Burgess incorporates the imagery of the Australian landscape and its native animals to create a story which helps young children to develop their vocabulary. The vibrant story telling is accompanied by breathtaking illustrations in water colour and black ink outline from the young but talented Olivia Anne Johnston, which allow for a visually engaging experience whilst reading.

This book was great! The detail put into the illustrations and character devleopment beautiful. This is the first picture book that introduced me into the Native Australian plants. It was a great booked and im taking it into my english lecture.
